... Flood Warning extended until Monday morning...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Aroostook River at Washburn
* until Monday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 18:15 PM Sunday the stage was 16.1 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river continues to be affected by a large ice jam.
River levels should fall gradually overnight... but sudden fluctuations
will be possible until the ice completely flushes out.
* Impacts... Gardner Creek Road in Washburn continues to be flooded by
this jam. Persons in the area should remain alert for rapid changes in
river levels.
