The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northeastern Nowata County in northeast Oklahoma...
northern Craig County in northeast Oklahoma...
northern Ottawa County in northeast Oklahoma...

* until 730 am CDT

* at 319 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with very heavy rain over the warned area. Two to
three of rainfall has already occurred over much of the warned
area with an additional one to two inches possible.

* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
occur. Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Commerce... Picher... Quapaw and South Coffeyville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the Road to
unknown depths. It only takes two feet of rushing water to carry away
most sport utility vehicles and pickups. Take a different Route to
reach your destination or wait until the water recedes. Remember...
most flood related deaths occur in automobiles.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of northeast Oklahoma...
including the following areas... Craig... Nowata... Osage...
Ottawa and Washington.

* Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon

* widespread showers and thunderstorms have continued near the
Oklahoma Kansas border overnight. This zone of thunderstorms is
expected to develop southward with time... and is likely to
produce areas of heavy rainfall across portions of northeast
Oklahoma. The precipitation is expected to weaken while shifting
further southward by late morning into early afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means rapidly rising water or flooding is
possible within the watch area.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the Road
to unknown depths. Take a different Route to reach your
destination or wait until the water recedes.

for the following counties...

In northeast Oklahoma
     western Craig... central Nowata and Washington

At 556 am CDT... strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Bartlesville to 10 miles east of Delaware... moving
east at 30 mph. Some locations that will be affected by these storms
include... Nowata... Delaware... Lenapah... Bartlesville and Dewey.

These storms will be capable of producing wind gusts to 50 mph.
