Expires 1:00 PM EST on November 30, 2014

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Friday night through
Sunday morning...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from late Friday night through
Sunday morning.

* Summary and timing... southwest wind will increase through the
day on Friday and may gust as high as 70 mph on exposed terrain
a little after midnight... which is when the snow will begin.
Snow will spread from north to south during the night and may be
heavy at times through Sunday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 10 inches in the Jackson
Valley... highest amounts north of Moose... with 10 to 18 inches
over higher terrain... higher amounts possible on favored west
facing slopes.

* Wind and visibility... southwest winds may gust to 70 mph in the
exposed terrain with gusts over 30 mph possible in Jackson
Valley on Saturday. Visibility may be reduced to near zero at
times in snow and blowing snow... especially over mountain
passes. Expect wind chills to drop well below zero late Saturday
night into Sunday morning.

* Impacts... periods of heavy snow... blowing snow and strong winds
are expected to complicate travel and outdoor activities this
weekend... especially on exposed terrain and over mountain
passes. Avalanche danger may also increase this weekend due to
the additional snow and strong wind... please monitor
jhavalanche.Org if your weekend plans include travel into the
backcountry.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remember... a Winter Storm Watch means conditions are favorable
for hazardous winter weather in and close to the watch area.

Transportation are available by calling 5-1-1 or on the internet
